Principles of Estimating is a 10-week basics level course, designed to cover the values of estimating and prepare professionals with an understanding of the estimating process. This program will not cover deeply how to estimate each trade, but rather will point out what constitutes each trades estimate. Nights 1 through 9 will cover the principles with the final night covering estimating software. As technology and software changes and evolves, it’s important to understand the basics of estimating, not just the ability to input an estimate into a program. Participants will take away from this course an understanding of the estimating process. Instructor Terrence McGeehan brings over 55 years of industry experience to GBCA for this program. Mr. McGeehan is a Certified Professional Estimator, a Fellow at the American Society of Professional Estimators, and the Principal of Construction Consultants, Inc.
