Join us for a safety training on Common Rigging Myths and Misconceptions in Construction with Ed Christy from INTECH Construction and Jeff Spatz from the Graham Company. In this course, you will learn about what to look for while reviewing crane plans, the different types of rigging, and the importance of using the correct equipment with normal inspections.
Attendees will receive a certificate of completion from GBCA. Lunch will be provided.

Ed Christy, Safety Director, INTECH Construction
Ed Christy has been a safety director since 2013 and started his career at the first company he worked for. Ed has worked for a General Contractor his entire career in safety. He has a CHST and many competent persons certifications. Ed got into safety because he wanted to make a change in the industry of construction safety and had the authority to control what he could. He is in the ASSP, Mid-Atlantic Safety Council CM Committee, and GBCA safety committee. He is also an instructor at Temple Fox Business School and teaches OSHA regulations and safety management controls. Ed’s goal is to continue to grow and have others embrace and accept safety into their daily jobs.
Jeffrey Spatz, Vice President - Safety Services, The Graham Company
Since 1990, Jeff has been professionally and personally committed to protecting life and property. He demonstrates a passion for the health and safety of workers and the success of his clients. Jeff provides consulting services and training to the construction, manufacturing, mining, and oil and gas industries in his role at Graham Company.
Before joining Graham Company, Jeff served with Turner Construction as the lead project safety manager for the Philadelphia International Airport’s new international terminal project. In his first decade at Graham Company, Jeff served as the lead consultant for the Delaware River Port Authority’s (DRPA) rolling wrap-up program.
Known for his “culture-beats-compliance” mantra, Jeff is a dynamic speaker and trainer, delivering his message with an energy that stems from a tireless drive for excellence and an evident concern for the well-being others.
