CLC Hard Hat Tour & Happy Hour: University of Pennsylvania Amy Gutmann Hall

Join GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council for a hard hat tour of the University of Pennsylvania's Amy Gutmann Hall. This project, being built by Gilbane Building Company, is the first six-story mass timber building in the City of Philadelphia.

The 120,000 square foot, 6 floor mass timber building, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences' new Data Science Building, will feature active learning classrooms and collaboration spaces; a data science hub; research centers for new socially aware data science methodologies and computing; and laboratories that will develop data-driven, innovative approaches for safer and more cost-effective healthcare.

After the tour hosted by Gilbane Building Company, attendees are invited to a networking happy hour at New Deck Tavern.

All attendees must wear the following PPE:

• Hard Hat
• Safety glasses
• High vis vest or shirt
• Long pants
• Boots (no dress shoes, sneakers, open-toed shoes, sandals, flip flops)
• Level 4 cut gloves 

Individuals not attired in appropriate PPE will not be permitted to participate in the Hard Hat Tour. GBCA will provide hard hats, safety glasses, high visibility vests, and gloves.

All attendees must submit a signed waiver to Meg Ginsberg at mginsberg@gbca.com by Friday, August 4, 2023.
