CLC Hard Hat Tour & Happy Hour: Durapods' Facility

Join GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council for a hard hat tour of Durapods on Wednesday, April 29, at their facility in Chalfont, PA.

Led by the Durapods team, this behind-the-scenes tour will showcase innovative prefabrication pods, including fully prefabricated bathrooms and patient rooms. Attendees will get to walk the floor of the 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility and see firsthand how these pods are designed, manufactured, and implemented. The tour will also highlight how they are being utilized on current active projects to improve efficiency, quality, and speed of construction.

During the tour, the Durapods team will highlight projects including the Penn Medicine Cancer Center at Princeton Health, Penn Medicine Montgomeryville Outpatient Center, and Roberts Children’s Health at CHOP. These projects include prefabricated pods for bath, shower, exam, patient, and teledata rooms.

Plenty of parking is available in front of and alongside the building. When you arrive, please enter through the main door at the front of the building.

Following the tour, attendees are invited to stay for networking and refreshments at the facility.

All attendees must bring the following PPE:

•    Climbing style hard hats (with chin strap)

•    Safety glasses

•    High-visibility safety vest

•    Long pants

•    Boots (no dress shoes, sneakers, open-toed shoes, sandals, or flip flops)

GBCA and Durapods will provide hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests for those who do not have PPE. 

All attendees must submit a signed waiver to Marybeth Gerdelmann at mgerdelmann@gbca.com by Friday, April 24, 2026.
