Stephen Pouppirt, President, Clemens Construction Company, Inc.
After earning an architecture degree from the University of Kansas, Stephen embarked on a career in construction management as a registered architect. He managed the construction of major projects including Denver’s Tabor Center and Philadelphia’s Liberty Place, the two 61-story commercial towers that broke the city’s unofficial height limit after almost a century.
After joining Clemens in 1990, he became its president and owner in 1997. His passion for building led the firm into new markets on a national scale, transforming a company once known as Philadelphia’s tenant fit-out expert into an operation employing over 175 carpenters across multiple states in a variety of sectors. From new construction of high-rises and commercial mixed-use to multi-family renovation, historic preservation and retail, Clemens’ reputation for unparalleled quality, integrity and customer service remains unchanged.
