SUMMARY:OSHA 30 Hour Training Course
DESCRIPTION:The OSHA Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry\, scheduled for May 18\, 19\, 20\, 21\, 2026\, offers training focused on the recognition\, avoidance\, abatement\, and prevention of safety and health hazards in construction workplaces. Participants will also learn about workers' rights\, employer responsibilities\, and the process for filing a complaint.This 30-hour class is designed for supervisors\, seasoned professionals\, or workers with safety responsibilities. By completing this training\, workers will gain a deeper understanding of workplace hazards\, their rights\, and how to contribute to a safer and more productive work environment.ATTENDEES MUST COMPLETE ALL FOUR DAYS OF TRAINING TO EARN THE OSHA 30.The deadline to receive a refund for event registration is (7) seven business days before the event. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.Instructor:\nTom Green\, CHST\, STS\, STSC   Instructor (Construction and General Industry Safety and Health)Tom brings over 25 years of heavy industrial and mechanical construction experience to Med-Tex Services and has worked in numerous East Coast oil refineries\, chemical and pharmaceutical plants\, fossil\, hydroelectric and nuclear power generating facilities and paper mills. He is a retired graduate apprentice boilermaker and member of Boilermakers Local 13 in Philadelphia. Tom has been an instructor in safety and asbestos abatement for the past 18 years. Before joining the training department at Med-Tex in 2018 he was the main instructor for Boilermakers Local 13's PA asbestos worker licensing program. He has been an OSHA 500 level instructor in construction safety since 2007 as well as a 501 level instructor for general industry. He completed instructor-level training in Electrical Standards\, NFPA 70E and the National Electric Code\, specializing in Arc Flash Hazard Awareness. He also trains hospital construction workers in ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) awareness\, and is the principal architect and primary instructor for the newly introduced two-day Excavation\, Trenching and Soil Mechanics course now offered through Med-Tex Services which was recently approved by Philadelphia Licenses and Inspections as equivalency training to OSHA's 3015 class\, a primary requirement for obtaining the new Philadelphia Excavator License. Throughout his 32 year career in construction\, he has also worked as a job site safety professional and trainer in mechanical construction and maintenance. Tom is a Project Management Professional (PMP)\, accredited through the Boilermakers MOST program and the Project Management Institute\, and is a board-certified Construction Health and Safety Technician\, Safety Trained Supervisor and Safety Trained Supervisor-Construction through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)\, and is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
