This self-paced four module Introduction to Construction seminar is an introduction to the construction industry, its parties, and processes. Students will become familiar with the different types of construction, the diverse roles, stages, and processes of a construction project. Students will develop an awareness of safety regulations, safety inspection, construction documents and their uses. Students will develop a working understanding of construction project management topics including estimating, project management, scheduling, close out and pay out.

SEMINAR ORGANIZATION AND GRADING
The introduction to construction seminar is organized into 4 learning modules. Plan to study one per week.
The following table lists the learning modules, the maximum point value a student can receive within each module, and the week in which the modules must be finished.
In each module there is a quiz (10 points). Half way through the seminar there is a written assignment (15 points). At the end of the seminar there is a practicum (20 points).
