Join GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council for a hard hat tour of the UPenn Ott Track and Field Indoor Training Facility, a state-of-the-art indoor track and field facility. This project, being built by P.Agnes, includes the construction of a +/-72,000 square foot facility, located on the southwest corner of the campus. The Ott Center will offer countless benefits to the University’s track and field athletes, and will feature a banked track, long and high jump pits, a throwing area, +/- 1,010 spectator seats and concession stand.
The Ott Center will offer athletes, and the larger University community, the opportunity to utilize the space during the winter months and poor weather conditions. This space will also function as a warm-up and staging area, which could improve the appeal of competing at Penn Relays and other NCAA outdoor track and field competitions. The addition of a banked track would allow the intercollegiate programs to host and compete in small indoor track and field meets.
The project is expected to complete in late Fall 2024. Once complete, the new track and field center will be the only collegiate indoor facility of its kind in the greater Philadelphia region.
After the tour hosted by P. Agnes, attendees are invited to a networking happy hour at The Post.
All attendees must wear the following PPE:
Individuals not attired in appropriate PPE will not be permitted to participate in the Hard Hat Tour. GBCA will provide hard hats, safety glasses, and high visibility vests.
All attendees must submit a signed waiver to Meg Ginsberg at mginsberg@gbca.com by Monday, August 19, 2024.
