AIA/GBCA Joint Committee Event - Mock Bid Day

Description

The AIA-GBCA Mock Bid Day is an educational program designed to provide students and current construction and architecture professionals with a practical understanding of the construction bidding process. Structured as an interactive simulation, the event replicates the dynamics of an actual bid day, with participants working in teams to prepare competitive proposals under time constraints and evolving conditions. Industry professionals will facilitate the exercise, offering insight into the strategies, decision-making, and collaboration that shape successful bids. This program underscores the importance of effective architect–contractor relationships and aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge of the construction industry through a realistic and professionally guided experience.

This program will be followed by a happy hour networking session.
